Mister Tattoo was founded on American traditional tattooing. It is the style our shop is rooted in, and that foundation is reflected in the depth and quality of the work. Our artists bring decades of combined experience working in traditional and its close relatives — bold American traditional, classic flash, and the custom imagery that has defined the genre from its earliest days.
Traditional tattooing covers a wide range of scale and complexity. A small flash piece — a panther head, a dagger and rose, a classic eagle — can be completed in a single walk-in session on the weekend. Larger custom work, including chest pieces, sleeves, and full back pieces, requires a consultation to plan properly. Either way, the same standards apply: clean execution, proper saturation, and lines built to last.
We maintain one of the largest flash reference collections in the state, giving walk-in clients genuine variety without sacrificing quality. If you have a specific concept in mind, our artists are experienced at translating custom ideas into traditional forms that work both aesthetically and technically on skin. Nothing leaves this shop that we're not proud of.
Getting Your American Traditional Tattoo
Walk-ins are welcome every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 7pm. No appointment needed — come by, look through the reference collection, and talk with the first available artist. For custom traditional work or larger pieces, stopping in on a weekend is the best first step. Meeting in person is always more productive than planning remotely, and it gives you a chance to see the shop, meet the team, and get a real sense of what's possible.
Pricing is based on size and complexity and is discussed directly with your artist before any work begins. There are no surprises and no pressure. Whether you're walking in for a single small piece or starting a conversation about something larger, you'll get the same straightforward experience either way.
